Description

This is NOT dressage, this is torture. I can not believe we still see those kind of postures in dressage shows when we know so much about horse anatomy. This is NOT ok, this destroys the horse physically and mentally. This is abuse. So don't copy riders like that.

It isn't nice to see. Unfortunately, while the riders who use this are rewarded with high marks, people will copy them. I do dressage and have just one main aim: To have any horse I ride do the movements not out of fear of punishment if they don't do them, but because they are happy and want to work with me. I want to ask rather than demand that movement whether it be piaffe or just walk.
Yes, this philosophy may never get me to the top but I will have happy horses.
